Appa da Adde(Appam)

Appa da Adde is a soft and sweet, mini muffin like dosa which is made with a unique pan with even round depressions in it. The batter has to be poured into these depressions to form mini muffin like appam.

Ingredients

1/2 kg rice
1 tsp methi seeds
1/2 tsp jeera
1 cup urad daal
1/2 coconut shredded
200 gms jaggery

Directions

Mix rice, methi seeds, urad daal. Wash it and soak it in water for 3-4 hrs
Then grind it with the coconut and jeera and ferment it overnight.
Heat a appa pan(a unique pan with even round depressions in it).
Grease the pan. Fill the depressions with the batter.
Cover it and let it cook till it is golden brown.
Then turn all the appas over to cook on the other side.
When this side also turn golden brown, remove it in serving plate.

Serve hot.
