Drunken Noodles
Drunken Noodles & Pad thai are my favourite thai dishes. This dish is also known as dranken noodles, drunkard's noodle, not sure if its a typo in the restaurant menu. I am so glad with the results when I tried this at home and decided to share this recipe
Ingredients
1 pkg flat rice noodles1/4 cup vegetable oil
12 garlic cloves, chopped
2 tsp thai chilli sauce
1 lb chicken thinly sliced (skip the chicken to make this vegetarian)
1/2 cup soy sauce (add more if you prefer soy sauce)
1 tablespoon sugar (per taste, I add more I prefer sweeter noodles)
1/2 white onion chopped into large pieces
1/2 cup shredded carrot
1 green bell peppers cut into strips
1 sprig fresh basil leaves
Directions
heat oil in a vessel over medium-high heat.Add garlic and cilli sauce and saute
Add onions, shredded carrots, bell peppers and sauté until chicken is cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
Cook noodles in large pot of boiling salted water until tender but still firm to bite, stirring frequently. Drain.
Add noodles, basil leaves and mix it all together.
