Gujarati Kadhi
Gujarati Kadhi My favourite Kadhi recipe slightly sweet and tangy goes very well with pulaos or with just plain rice
Ingredients
3 cups yoghurt3 cups water
2 tbsp besan flour
1 tsp ginger paste
3 tbsp oil
1 tsp sugar
1 clove
2 cardamom pods (elaichi)
1-2 bay leaves
1 pinch hing
1 tsp cumin seeds
2-3 dry red chillies salt to taste
Directions
Whip the yoghurt well to remove any lumps add the besan and whip ensure the besan is well incoporated and there are no lumps. Add 3 cups of water and stir wellHeat oil add the cumin seeds, when it begins to fry add the cloves, cardamom pods, hing, red chillies. Add the ginger paste.
Add the yoghurt mixture , salt to taste and sugar and let it boil
Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with pulao goes well with plain rice too
