Nariyal Ladoo (Coconut Ladoo)


Nariyal Ladoo (Coconut Ladoo)

Nariyal ke ladoo is Ladoo's made of coconut, an attractive variation of the kopra pak

Ingredients

3 cups shredded coconut (you can also use frozen or the sweetened variety available in the baking section in american stores)
1/2 can condensed sweetened milk
3-5 cardamom seeds powdered
1 cup coconut flakes for decoration

Directions

In a non stick pan, on medium heat saute the coconut flakes for about 4-5 minutes
Add half a can of sweetened condensed milk and blend it well with the coconut flakes, add the cardamom powder
Keep stirring until the mixture is well cooked and the mixture becomes thick and begins to stick together. Keep stirring constantly to ensure it doesnt burn
Turn off the heat and start making golf sized balls of the mixture by rolling it between your palms while the mixutre is still hot
Roll the ladoos in coconut flakes to cover them. If the ladoos are dry, and the flakes do not stick, first roll the ladoo is some condensed milk and then roll it in the flakes
