Pasta Arrabiata


Pasta Arrabiata

Pasta Arrabiata Arrabiata is a spicy marinara sauce served with pasta. Tastes great and most Indians like this dish since its spicy

Ingredients

1 packet pasta (its usually made with penne but you can try with any variety)
1 1/2 cups pasta sauce (your favourite brand of tomato pasta sauce available in the grocery)
1/2 bell pepper diced
1 tsp garlic paste or 2 cloves of garlic chopped fine
1 cup grilled chicken strips (optional) (I usually use perdue southwest grilled chicken strips available in the frozen section)
5 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried oregano flakes
1 tsp dried basil leaves flakes
1 tsp red chilli flakes


Directions

In a pot heat enough water a for pastand bring it a roaring boil
Add the pasta and salt and cook on high flame for 8-10 minutes until cooked, be sure the pasta is not over cooked
Heat the olive oil in a pan (large enough to hold the pasta) and stir fry the diced bell pepper
Add the garlic paste and stir fry for 30 seconds and add the pasta sauce
Add the oregano flakes and basil leaves flakes, red chilli flakes and cook for about 2-3 minutes
Add the chicken and cook for 1 minute
Add the pasta and incorporate the sauce well with the pasta
Cook for a minute or so if you prefer more pasta sauce in the pasta in a small pan heat some olive oil and add the pasta sauce, add a little basil, oregano and chilli flakes and add it to the pasta
