I like to experiment with food and try to duplicate what I eat at a restaurant at home but at the same time dont like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. My family loves Thai food and we end up eating Thai food almost every other weekend. I thought why not try making Thai food at home!
I looked up several websites on how to make some of my favourite Thai food like pad prik king, green curry etc. Most websites had elaborate recipes with a long list of ingredients which were difficult to find and pronounce :) While i was at a local oriental grocery I stumbled into several thai curry pastes similar to the ready made chole masala, pav bhaji masala etc we have back home in India.
I picked up several varieties like pad prik king paste, red curry paste etc and thus began my journey into thai cooking. The recipes that i came up with are simple to make, the ingredients are easily available in north america (oriental stores) and it tastes pretty close to what we have at our favourite thai restaurant.
