Strawberry Mousse


Strawberry Mousse

Strawberry Mousse A simple recipe for a great tasting mousse

Ingredients

1 small pack strawberry flavored jello (for orange flavored mousse use orange jello)
1 1/4 cup boiling water
1 tub cool whip cream (available in frozen section in most north american grocery stores)
Berries and whipped cream to garnish (orange slices can be used for orange flavoured mousse)

Directions

Boil 1 1/4 cup water.
Mix in the jello until it is well dissolved.
Mix in the cool whip cream, make sure it is well dissolved into the jello mix and has no lumps, you can use a hand mixer to blend it
Stir in the cashew powder, ensure there are no lumps, keep stirring, until the mixture becomes thick
Pour it into moulds or a container and refrigerate for 3-4 hours before serving.
To serve, remove from the mould and garnish with whipped cream and berries.
If refrigerated in a container, slice it and serve it, for enhanced presentation put a couple of tablespoons into a piping bag and pipe it as swirls into serving bowl
Decorate with berries and whipped cream.
